Prince William tried out Motiview

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were taken on a trip down memory lane in St. Andrews where they met for the first time.

Royal reminiscence

When the request for the royal meeting appeared in Motitech's mailbox, it was just a matter of time to plan the meeting as best as possible.

- We had 4 minutes to present ourselves, so then it was to explain as much as possible. And what could be better than giving them recognition and memory recall. That is what the whole Motiview concept is about, says CEO of Motitech, Jon Ingar Kjenes.

Motitech got into contact with the Kensington Palace in England via the British embassy in Norway. The aim was to find out where the Duke and Duchess met each other for the first time.

- We learned that they met each other at the university in St. Andrews in Scotland and we also got a tips of Prince William's favorite music. Then it was just to get started, says Kjenes.

He brought recording equipment and traveled to St.Andrews to film the same streets, the cafe, the dorm and the university that Prince William and Kate Middleton went to when they met each other.

- There was my room

The four Norwegian companies that were allowed to meet the royals had been pre-allocated 4 minutes each. But the timetable was delayed when Prince William, Kate Middleton, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit came to Motitech's stand at MESH in Oslo.

- They didn't want to leave, laughs Jon Ingar, which tells about a great enthusiasm when Prince William pointed out his former room when he cycled past the dorm in St. Andrews.

It was also a funny moment when Kjenes played Ellie Goulding's "Your Song" to the video. A song Motitech had been told in advance that was special for the Duke and Duchess.

- This was played to the wedding dance. Kate patted Prince Willian on the back when the song was played. I asked if they wanted to have a dance, says Kjenes.

Queen Elizabeth on a bike?

This autumn it became known that Motitech has received funding for a project in England. This has also led to the establishment of an office in London for Motitech.

In other words, showing off Motiview to the royals from Great Britain could not have been a better timing.

- It would be great to eventually see Queen Elizabeth on a Motiview bike, hehe, says sales and administration manager at Motitech, Torbjørn Langeland.

The meeting between Motitech and the royals from Great Britain and Norway was duly mentioned in both Norwegian and foreign media.
